ORW developed a master plan for the Westboro Railyard property, beginning with a structural and historic evaluation of the existing buildings, evaluation of public access opportunities along the Connecticut River and looking at relationships between the yard and the village center.  As the site is an active railyard, management of public access is a key issue.  ORW is currently developing detailed design plans for a 6-acre park site that will include walk-in river access for canoes, kayaks and fishing; trail connections to the downtown, adjacent commercial uses and regional trail systems; and interpretation of the historic elements of the site.
