ORW prepared a master plan for Montpelier’s capital district under a contract with the City-State Commission and the Vermont Department of General Services.  Issues addressed by the Master Plan included the design for a multi-modal transit center; a master plan for a 25-year build-out of state office buildings; and a plan to revitalize the Winooski River corridor through the downtown.  The Capital District Master Plan garnered awards from the New England Regional Council AIA (2000); the Northern New England Chapter APA (2000); and the Vermont chapter of the ASLA (2001).
